The FormMailer component can be interacted with directly via Actionscript, You can set up listeners for events, so you're not limited to the notification messages included with the component. We've left this component open enough to allow you complete control over the user experience.

For the AS2 component, you will need Adobe Flash MX 2004 or greater (Flash 8 or greater to use the demo FLA included).

For the AS3 component, you'll need Adobe Flash CS3.

Server Requirements
Your server needs to have PHP4+ installed in order to use this component properly. The script which processes and e-mails the data is a PHP script (provided with the component, and requires no modifications). You do not need to know any PHP to use this component, but it must be uploaded to the server which is used to process the e-mails.

You may also want to confirm with your web host that e-mail sending through PHP is permitted. Most hosts allow mail to go out, but some may have a monthly quota.

You may purchase the AS2 component if you only develop in AS2, or the AS3 component if you only develop in AS3, or you can purchase both at a discounted rate.

ActionScript (AS2 / AS3)
This component requires minimal ActionScript. (It requires very little ActionScript knowledge and experience. We provide all the samples which will get you going very quickly and answer any questions you may have). If you can get to the "Actions" editor, you know everything you'll need to know.
